Why Guardian Angels are so Important
Have you ever taken the time to think about why Guardian Angels are important to us. I mean really thought about it?
Some of the roles of Angels are for them to be messengers and protectors. Image yourself in a time of distress and need. This would more likely be a time when you are disoriented, your speech pattern has decreased greatly, and your thinking power was greatly increased. In other words, you mind is racing a mile a minute but the words just won't come out fast enough to voice them in a manner that others can fully understand. Isn't it nice to know that you can call upon your angel to calm you and guide you and help you in any way which is needed.
There are many ways for you to recognize your guardian angel. You can feel them in certain instances such as a sudden flow of air, a gush of energy radiating from within, a gentle warmth, a feeling of being comforted or wrapped by their angel wings. Maybe, it is in the things which you hear or the things which you see. The sounds of bells ringing, the green trees and the blue skies.
What do you think your guardian angel does to comfort you? Can you summon your guardian angel? Do you talk to them directly or in-directly, do you write to them?
Let me know your thoughts about your guardian angel.

"being comforted or wrapped by their angel wings."
LIKE HELL!
Angels show up to dislocate bones (Gen 32:25), kill the disobedient (Exo 4:24), torment the hard hearted (1Sam 16:14), bring plagues (Rev 15:1) and destroy cities (Gen 19:12-13), or if you are especially blessed, to deliver a more peaceful message from God. The sight of an angel is like a giant hand reaching to you innards and squeezing so you cannot breath, your beat cannot beat, and your guts feel twisted in taught in knots. People in The Bible always thought the event would kill them, many of them were right. I pray that I always do as God wills; so no angels need to show up and deal with me. But I should be bones need breaking, or my life need ending, I find it a comforting thought that God might send an angel to do it, rather than something or someone else.

Zerothis, you must read the scripture in it's entire context. There is often a lot more involved then just that one area. Also remember angels being messengers said or did things for a reason.
You should read before and after the reference and look at some cross references. I studied this area a while back, so I can shed a little light.
Addressing the first verse for instance, in Gen 32:25 - Jacob was going through a transition to Israel. Even after the name change, he wrestled with himself as to which person he was Jacob the boy or Israel the man.
To get a firmer understanding of this, you should reference at least these other scripture passages and chapter Gen 31.
Genesis 32: 1
And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him.
Genesis 32:2
And when Jacob saw them, he said, This is God's "host": and he called the name of that place "Mahanaim".
Genesis 24
And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
Genesis 28
And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
